Totem

Totem is a mechanic for maintaining balance in battles. The totem is automatically received by that Clan, whose number in the battle is significantly less than the number of the enemy Clan.

The totem equalizes the base strength of the Clans to 95%. Equalizing occurs by increasing the base strength of each Samurai from the minor Clan.

A major clan will still have a 5% advantage. But since Samurai from a minor Clan have become stronger and can potentially defeat a larger enemy on separate cells, then the earnings of each Samurai with a Totem are potentially higher, since earnings are divided among fewer allies now.

Formulas

The totem strength percent (TS%), which will be added to the base strength of each Samurai, is calculated from the number of a major clan (NmajC) and the number of a minor clan (NminC):
